JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Good evening all.  I've got a few minutes before Bernard comes home with Travis, so I am digging up some "Autumn Color" pix from last year.  I had only had my camera a week or so, and I can tell a big difference!!

I hope all is going well in your neck of the woods, and I will maybe pop back in later!

Nita

Hi everyone.  I'm just in for a minute, then off to Walmart to buy computer ink.  Isn't that expensive??  Whoooeee.  I love doing prints of pictures for family and friends, so I pay the price gladly. :)  I just won't eat next week. haha  NOT!

Pat, I will try to get some pictures uploaded to the website.  I did check it and it's still there, so guess I'm still in. :)

I'm taking Kim to Portland tomorrow for her pre-op appointment. (Kim is my daughter who is having eye surgery on both eyes on the 16th of this month.  Anyway, I'm taking my camera.....just in case. :)

Sonifo, I'm so happy to see your flight entry in top 3.  I think it should have been 1st place, but I guess it keeps one humble to be second place instead of first.  I don't have to bother with that.......I'm never up there.  I was so excited to place 9th, once.  That'll probably be as close as I get. haha   so, sweetie, congratulations on yer nuther other ribbon.  You are great.

Jane, I saw the pictures of the wedding, with Bev, Ron and Sarah.  I'm glad they got them to you.

Have a blessed rest of the day.  Oh....speaking of songs that touch me so much......have you heard, "I Can Only Imagine."?
If not, you need to.

and.........TADAAAAAA.  I'm a full member now.  Pass the cake and ice cream please. :)

Al..........(Pat just notified me via e-mail and told me to wake-up) ;)  I addressed this to an unknown "Ron". TILT >:(

I just found you on the map.  Hey there friend, you ARE north.  Vivian's parents left her a cabin and acreage in Point Arena.  We've been there many times, but never up your way (coastwise).  What's the Bay just south of you?

Pat..... :-*

Oh!!!  A party for our Nita!  Full Member!  Ruthie and Nita are now full members!  WOW!!!

Nita, if it's a problem uploading to your website, just send them to me and I'll post them.  I just think we should be seeing all these nice photos on OUR site!

Just over in the glory land

I've a home prepared where the saints abide
Just over in the glory land
And I long to be by my Saviour's side
Just over in the glory land

Just over in the glory land
I'll join the happy angel band
Just over in the glory land
Just over in the glory land
There with the mighty host I'll stand
Just over in the glory land

I am on my way to those mansions fair
Just over in the glory land
There to sing God's praises and his glory share
Just over in the glory land

Refrain

What a joyful thought that my Lord I'll see
Just over in the glory land
And with kindred saved, there forever be
Just over in the glory land

Refrain

With the blood washed throng I will shout and sing
Just over in the glory land
Glad hosannas to Christ, the Lord and King
Just over in the glory land

Refrain

Sonja..........

Congrats.  :) :D  Now let's have a look.  Just grab me by the nose and lead me to it.  Poor Pat is always grabbing me by the shoulders and pointing me every place I want to go.  Of course, that's why I married Vivian.  I couldn't find the table if food wasn't on it. ;) :D ;D

Ruthie........

I'm pretty sure I saw a TV special on David Ring.  It was a few years ago so its sketchy in my fuzzy brain.

Another day drawing to an end.  It's already 8:00 p.m. and this is my first chance to post.   :-\

I worked a half day and this afternoon Gene and I went out to Alice's farm to check out a couple of keys he had made and to get some foliage pictures.  The keys don't fit so have to be done again and the foliage was disappointing to say the least.   :(

I took a few pictures, but discovered a blurry spot in one corner of the viewfinder.  When  I looked at the lens I found a spot on it, but not on the surface.  It's a shiney thing that seems to be within the glass.  Of course this camera is just over a year old so the guarantee is gone.  We thought we'd go back to Ray's Supply to see if it can be repaired, but when I looked at the pictures they don't seem too bad.  So I'll keep a watch on the spot and if it doesn't get any worse I won't worry about it.

But!  I made another pot of soup and another loaf of bread and this time I remembered to put everything in the pot!  So we had a yummy supper and now we're both stuffed.   ;D ;D ;D

Oh., what wonderful memories listening to "Victory in Jesus".  That is probably my most favourite hymn.

I remember seeing David Ring on television a few years ago.  I'm glad to hear that he is still walkig with the Lord.  What a special person he is!

Still praying for Papa John!

Lee: Al and I are both in the same area. He is in Arcata and I am in McKinleyville The bay you are speaking of is it. Humboldt Bay or Arcata Bay they are both right here. I am 8 miles north of Al.

I saw David Ring on John Hagee's program a couple of years ago.

Yes Pat do you have I can Only Imagine?

Hello to every one. Great to see you back Iain are you feeling better? Maybe I will have to try the  Dumpling recipe.

Congratulations Sonja.

I was so praying that there would have been some good news about Papa John.  I have thought of the trials of the family often today.

The hymns were very calming Pat after a stressful day.

Time to make another cup of tea, and curl up with a book I think.

Judy McKenna

Sue - a cup of tea sounds wonderful!...so does curling up with a book!  My husband has to be the world's best tea maker.... he is now plugging in the kettle, and making his 8th cup of tea to date!  I could never drink that much!

Coffee is my weakness!

Ruthie:  I must remember to watch Charles Price next Sunday.... his messages are one week behind the T.V. I believe.

Marilyn - glad to see you are feeling better.

Judy B:  Thanks for the link to the cooking site you gave me awhile back.  I love reading and trying different recipes.

I'm glad to see so many of you have enjoyed making "Dump Cake"!!

Whew!  I am really bushed tonight, and so is Darrel!  But we got a lot more of the tile laid, so that is progress!  My house is a wreck, but it's only temporary, so it isn't bothering me. (yet.) ::)

Since the entire kitchen is torn up, and most of it is in the living room, and the stove is unhooked, it was a good excuse to go out for Mexican food tonight.  Beth said yesterday she was really hungry for Mexican food, so we took her along, too.

It's great to see so many oosts today, but I wish there were an update on Papa John.

See you all tomorrow!  I think a cup of tea sounds great right about now, too!

I remember how difficult it was to say the same things to many callers when my husband was quite ill. Therefore, I've decided to wait until tomorrow to phone. I hope y'all won't be too disappointed.

That shouldn't deter our prayers, though. And God understands my intent and how much I, too, would love to hear how Papa John is doing.

...his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Elizabeth

Thanks for the devotional Pat.
My brother just phoned and is so upset due to his long time companion's slow recovery from a stroke.  They do not live together, but are both retired accountants who have spent years golfing and travelling the world together.  This is not my lifestyle and he asks me how God causes these things to happen, then gets angry when I try to explain.

I never push my faith on anyone and only firmly state that, for me, it would not be possible to survive without my belief in God.  He seems to believe that he will go to Hell....but not because I have used that term.  His beautiful 17 yr. old granddaughter (who is going to be a doctor) was not diagnosed properly and had a large cyst explode on her ovary, rushed to emergency and the ovary and tubes had to be removed.  So he is angry about that!!  He just got back from visiting them in Kelowna, where the fires were, and is angry about that.  Tried to be gentle and soothing and things ended well....but absolutely no points scored for the Lord.

How can one convince an angry senior that God allows things to happen....he doesn't cause them so we will suffer?  I am feeling an absolute failure at the moment.

Rainy, foggy day on the island.  We need the rain.

Any word about Papa John?  I am still praying.

God Bless, Liz.

Sonja congratulations

Pat the hymns and devotional are always uplifting.

I to keep praying for Papa John and family.

It is to late to have a cup of tea but it is not to early to head for bed.

Liz - it's sad that God gets blamed for all the bad things that happen.  What they don't understand is that we have an adversary who is out to kill, steal, and destroy us.  But that God wants us to have live in abundance.

Don't be so hard on yourself.  It's hard to reason with a person when they are so angry - they are un-reasonable!

Just keep praying for him, and we will too.
Shalom.

I've just come back from a nice visit with Gilbert on his birthday. Savannah was being a quite a little brat tonight. She is very precocious and wants her way about everything. Gilbert gets so frustrated with her at times.

Well that's it for tonight. Oh by the way it shouldn't be too long before I am able to post some photos from my new camera on here. I was blessed with the funds to purchase a Compact Flash Card Reader. I wonder if there is anyway to transfer the photos in the internal memoery to a CFC. I will have to get out the manual and read up on it again.

Ruthie

Hello Everyone:

Well I'm back from Newmarket and the fund raiser for New Beginnings Christian School was a huge success.  There were 220 who attended a sit down dinner and the silent auction was amazing.  We watched a presentation when God gave my daughter a vision 6 years ago and started the school with another teacher friend.  There were 17 students.  Now there are 83 students and 10 teachers and board members.

Paul Henderson spoke about his life in hockey and how he got the winning goal with Team Canada in Russia.  He said that even though he had everything materially, it was when he met the Lord, that was when he truly had everything.

It was a good night and now I am ready for bed

Goodnight.

Before I go to bed I should thank you for the party you had in Nita and my honour.   We are now full members.
I hope you had a "rip roaring" time.

I just read this on SeniorNet, posted by Norm Tock...

    GOOD NEWS

Martha just called and said today has been just great for Papa John. He is alert and knows everyone. He also has his kisser in tact as he is kissing Cornelia over and over.

When Martha called she was so up beat it was great. She said Papa John recognized everyone and wanted to see his brother from North Carolina. I'm not sure, but I think he had just left...Martha said he kept kissing Cornelia and again and again. She said, "His kisser was working real good!" What a relief. When a man's kisser is working then all is well. Sorry, I was tied up most of this afternoon, and couldn't get on line. Phew – Now I'M excited.

These two men (Norm Tock and Papa John) have been close friends for about 10 or 12 years.  This is indeed such good news before some of us go to bed for the night.

    Thank you Lord!

    WOW,   WHAT WONDERFUL NEWS PAT!

I was praying for Papa John on the way down from Newmarket.  It takes 45 minutes and that's good time spent in prayer.

    PRAISE GOD.

:) :) :)What a PRAISE report on Papa John.!!

I am way behind in my reading.  Tonight I listened to ETV and the first car driven across the USA in 1903 by Dr. Horatio Nelson ________? in a Winton roadster.  Quite a trip.

Ria, I pray that your cold will be better by tomorrow and you will be ready for your bone density test at the hospital.

Pat, I've been singing along with your songs.  Thanks for the links.  Still humming "Just Over in Glory Land".

Am glad that Marilyn is better; and congrats to Sonja and I hope we see her photo here.

Jenny, I'm praying for Chris as he goes to his new job.  I hope it will be something he likes as that sure does make our working time seem worthwhile.

Time for bed.   A good nite to all the others I forgot to mention...after all there are over 100 of us.

p.s.   I've been riding around looking for harvest pictures.  As soon as I get one of the cotton modules, I am going to post.

    Liz.........

On the contrary.  You are a success.  You ask why?  Simple Liz.  Our Lord only asks that we go throughout the world and witness for Him.  You and I are His messengers, and we have never saved anyone.  I fell sorry for Christians who witness to people and expect instant change.  It doesn't happen.  We are in a long line of mesengers for the Lord, and if a person doesn't come to the Lord at our witness, then he/she may well respond to the Lord's call with the next person He has sent to them.  If not the next, then a hundred later.  Your witnessing in truth and faith is cause for our Lord to one day say..."Liz, well done my faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Lord."  IF they never come to the Lord it is NOT our fault.

    Lee Kirkwood

    Pat........

I dearly love your hymns.  I do not believe in entertainment in church, but I firmly believe in the old hymns which are a very strong part of my worship.  I love singing to our Lord, which has a way of putting my heart in touch with His.  Love ya for it Pat.
