Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Home now. I took Bea to get a haircut and I had mine trimmed a whole 1/4 inch. :P After I got home I washed my car then Gilbert called me over to have tea and cake. I got to visit with Sarah today too, as it is her day off from school and work.

It is a beautiful day here on the Lost Coast, The sun is shining and the temp is mild. I love this weather here so much all year round it is mild spring like weather , the only difference is that in winter it rains ALOT. It sure beats the desert. ;D ;D

Goin to check to see if there are new prayer requests and photos.

Will do Ruthie! Have a fun time.

That is terrible news, Larry!

Hope you are all having a wonderful day today.

Marilyn - it doesn't rain here!  That's HEAVY fog.  Actually, it doesn't rain here nearly as much as it does in Portland, where it may average as much as 80 inches/year.  Here it's more like 41.

Thank you dear Heavenly Father for your healing touch on our dear Papa John.

I shut down early last night - my eyes just wouldn't stay open.  So I didn't see the message from Norm Tock that Pat posted until just a few minutes ago.

Well all the fools in the world aren't gone yet.  That big pot of soup I made last night?  There was enough for at least one more meal and one or two for the freezer.  I had made it in the crock pot and left it on the counter after supper to cool some before putting it in the refrigerator.  This morning when I got up I discovered I had never put it in the refrigerator and it stood on the counter all night.  So much for that! :'(

Marilyn, there should be a way to copy the pictures on our camera's internal memory to a compact flash card.   Check your user's manual carefully.

PS.  Congratulations, Sonja!

Janet

If 41 inches of rain per year is too much for you, SW Kansas would be happy to take your excess!  My dad used to say he could raise a crop on the dew that they got in other places.

Larry, that's awful about the player being killed in such a senseless accident.  $180,000 car??  That's senseless, too, in my opinion.

I tried to watch the news, but ended up watching it on the insides of my eyelids........ :-\  I guess the world will keep on turning, even if I don't know what is going on in it.

I'm outa here again......for a while, anyway.

Janet - such a lovely photo of you here! (I mean't to tell you that before!).

Larry:  Yes, that was a terrible accident.  The young hockey player who was killed, is being buried on Friday, apparently his parents are fine Christian people.  The friend who told me this, said this young man was saved as well.  I sure hope this is correct.

We had a beautiful day here in Guelph today., this weekend is the Canadian Thanksgiving.  I love this time of year.  My husband dosen't.... he finds the fall depressing....does anyone else feel this way?  I think perhaps its because winter is coming....he feels the cold so much.

We are hoping to go to Florida in the spring....perhaps that will help.

Now I must go and see if there is anymore news on Papa John.

Marilyn:  I tried emailing you, and it came back to me...have you changed your address?

Just droped in to say hello.  I have just arrived at my daughter's place and the flowers are still bright and beautiful.

It is encouraging to see that Papa John is on the mend.

My granddaughter Jennifer is waiting for the computer, so gotta go.

Good evening all.  I hope you are doing well, and have had a good day.  Pretty good here, albeit it busy, busy ,busy.  Tuesdays are wild for me, and now I'm tired.  :-\

Glad to hear Papa John is doing some better.  Mieka, I really liked your perspective of it!!

Take care all, and I'll poke around in some of the other forums for a while, I guess. ;D

Etta Sue

Yes, I, too, like Mieka's thought as to why Papa John is still with us.  He deserves a BIG place in heaven.

No, Pat, I didn't take pictures.  BUT Jerry decided that the swing was too far rusted and cracked to go to the work of removing the paint and then priming and painting it again.  SOOOoooo we went to my trusty Lowe's and bought a Yellow Pine Swing.  I did paint the A-frame today and I put the Swing seat together....so, God's will, I will be swinging again tomorrow.  Perhaps then I will take a picture!!!

I love to swing and solve all the problems of the world........

It is getting late.  Actually I had a small nap watching TV this evening.  It was a wonderful summerlike day today.  No A/C, no heat!  I love it!!

Pat

My swing is still ok.  It's not showing any rust.  I wrap the whole swing in a tarp every fall and then take it off in the spring so maybe this might help.  It was Jack's swing and he loved to read his Bible out on his swing.

Sorry Pat, that is all of the poem in my devotional.  Tried to find out more about the author but no luck!  Here is another one:

If you're feeling alone and unworthy,
And wish for a kind, loving friend,
Remember that God longs to show you
A love that never will end.      -Hess

The preacher, David R. is certainly an inspiration to all and is like a friend of my daughter's, who has the same problem.  Michael went thro' university and now travels the country as a Motivational Speaker.  Only problem...he is not a Christian.  I heard David R. on TV when we still got the Sunday service from People's Church in Toronto.  He greatly praised his mother in the message.

Pleasant evening all and God Bless.  Liz
