Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Hello Everyone.

This is my first time writing and reading here.

I am more of a photographer and a walker than a writer.  But I have been told I will get better so apologies if it is short

Enjoyed reading on the church funds.   Rolling home we sang at the funeral of our beautiful mother and I have whistled it to myself ever since.  Holland   As a gardener I hope one day to visit the bulb fields.  Tulips from Amsterdam another childhood song that has always stuck in my mind.

Alan

10. 15 p.m.

Good evening everyone.  Actually it's nearly my bedtime.

It's rained heavily here today and it is very cold.  Tomorrow is the first day of Autumn....officially!

Another neighbour has had all her plant pots taken  from her garden so we are all being extra vigilent here.  These things come in dribs and drabs.  I've had my milk taken  prior to this and the lady next door had her house broken into recently............Would you believe it, the Police Station is just at the bottom of the road.

Chris' has felt  his throat playing-up again...but I feel it's just the dampness in the air these nights and pray that the tonsillitis doesn't flare up again.,
Re the other problem......His  new doctor is doing her best and has made swift arrangements for him to have his urologist appointment on Friday and ultra sound test is next Friday.

Hello Again Alan, I am pleased to see your posting. Do come again soon.  I hope that things are getting better for you now...There is always a warm welcome for you on C.P.

My son was watching Max Bygraves on T.V. today Alan.  Didn't he sing "Tulips from Amsterdam?" I liked that too.......a nice cheery song...

It's my bedgtime so forgive me if I don't name you all tonight, suffice I do send best wishes, and prayers.

God Bless,
Jenny.

Janet

I never left home again today......spent time working on posting photos, then cleaning house.  Are any of you "stackers?"  It seems stacks of stuff accumulates here rapidly!  Magazines, books, mail........ugh.  It is my worst housekeeping problem.  I know 'they' say you shouldn't handle anything paper more than once, but getting that to be a reality is hard.  I don't always have time to read four magazines the minute I bring in the mail........thus the stacks.  Sigh..........

I am going to watch the news.  See y'all later!  Glad the little stories gave you a chuckle.

Just popped in to say hi.   I can't stay for long, I have to go out for the evening.  I did have a treat waiting for me when I got home however, my daughter had prepared dinner.  What a very pleasant surprise.

Have a good evening everyone!
Sue

Home from work now. Worked 5 hours instead of 4 to make up for one of the hours I missed last week. Lots of work needed to be done.

Only here for a moment want to look at the photos.

With all the gloom and doom I've been dealing with lately, it was nice to hear from the doctor today saying that the CAT scan showed a brain in my head, and that it's functioning normally.  :)

Ruth Ann
...his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Janet

 ;D Ruth Ann, I'm no doctor, but I could have told you that! ;D  We are always glad to hear a good report, and I pray things are going well for you and Leslie.  Blessings to you, sweet sister.

Rose of Sharon
(Click to hear music)

Words and music by Alfred B. Smith and John Peterson

"I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys."
Solomon 2:1

There's a Beautiful Rose ever blooming,
In the Garden of God's Love for me;
It has filled all the world with it's fragrance,
It will last for eternity.

Chorus
Rose of Sharon now blooming I see,
Blessed Jesus, who died on the tree;
With my whole heart I sing "Hallelujah!"
Rose of Sharon, so precious to me.

Precious Savior, I'll always adore Thee,
For with Thee no one else can compare;
By Thy Love so divine, I'm enraptured,
Thou are fairer than all of the fair.

Chorus
Rose of Sharon now blooming I see,
Blessed Jesus, who died on the tree;
With my whole heart I sing "Hallelujah!"
Rose of Sharon, so precious to me.

Are you lost in your sins ~ tired of living?
Is your heart filled with bitterness, too?
Come to Jesus, the sweet Rose of Sharon,
He has the power to make you anew.

Chorus
Rose of Sharon now blooming I see,
Blessed Jesus, who died on the tree;
With my whole heart I sing "Hallelujah!"
Rose of Sharon, so precious to me
.

It's so nice to see you posting in here, Alan aka Backpacker!  Please check in here often and join the "crack"!

For the rest of you who may not know, Alan sent me many photos and we've put them in our Photographs Here area.  Alan lives in England.

Ruth Ann, nice to hear from you.  Glad about your test results but as Janet has said, "We could have told you that!" LOL

Glad you got extra time today, Marilyn!  That should help.

Thanks for the link, Chris.  That's a lovely hymn.  Thanks too to you, Judy for bringing it in here.

Whew!  For a while this computer really had me guessing.  I suddenly couldn't post.  Nothing would show up in the message box, no matter what I did.  So I shut down my browser and started over and here I am.  ;D

Not that I have anything earth shaking to impart, I just didn't want anyone to think I was only lurking.  :-\

It was kind of a dark day today and Gene said it rained some this morning here in the trailer park, but less than two miles away (as the crow flies) at Town Hall there wasn't a drop.

I know there was something else I wanted to say, but what with not being able to post, etc., I've completely forgotten what it was!  ;D

We have just spent the last 10 minutes hearing a siren coming from the airport. I didn't know that was where it was coming from until I called Gilbert and he told me. There are several ambulances up at the Coast gard end of the airport. Whatever it is we better start praying. Thank you.

URGENT PRAYER NEEDED

This was just posted on SeniorNet by Norm who I went to Grand Rapids, Michigan to see a couple of weekends ago.

It's regarding PAPA JOHN

"Well you can't guess where I am. I am in the cardiac unit of St Thomas Hospital. I kept having chest pains and Cornelia called the doctor who sent me to the emergeny room. The blood test indicated that I didn't have a heart attack. But with all the symptoms the cardiologist put me in the hospital. Tomorrow I will have an arteriogram tomorrow afternoon. I am not comfortable writing this so I'll quit."

Pat you are so bad!  Wheaton bread and you are there with me 4 and a half hours away!  With lemon curd no less!  Pease save me some.

I am glad you enjoyed the hymn.  It is one of my favourites.

I was talking to Mother tonight.  she is doing well, but is finding that as much as it was too busy up here, it is also too lonely to be down south.  I have invited her to come back on the weekend when John comes home.  We keep checking for an appartment for her but it is unlikely that one will come open before spring now, unless someone dies!  I hate to wish for that, but I do wish something would open up for her.

Janet your stories are so funny! I am going to pass the one about the pastor on to our pastor and let him have a giggle at it too!  Pastor Dennis has such a fantastic sence of humour, and all his messages are sprinkled with it.  I have found the core of his messages so much easier to remember because of the humour.  It definitely is a gift.

Melaura was at Air Cadets tonight and has signed up for Saturday gliding military base in North Bay.  This will be her first experiencew in the air in her life.  I can't wait to get the report when she gets home.  This is step one in becoming a missionary pilot!

Well everyone If I don't get to bed and get some rest, I will be in trouble tomorrow with my eye.  It is much better now, but caution is the rule for a while.

Good night all, Pat keep the hymns coming.
Love JudyB

Janet

Trisha, I am so happy your surgery went well, and that you are back home.  Now, take care of that knee so you can soon be back to your many activities.  Love you!

Prayers are certainly going upward for our dear Papa John!

Thanks for the comments on the humor, JudyB.  I also think humor is a great teaching tool, and can make things much easier to remember.

See you in the morning; I'm headed to bed now!
