He must be afraid.
It is so dangerous in Iraq.
There are on this moment also Dutch soldiers in Iraq
but there are there not for fyting buy for peace
BUT WHEN IS THERE COMING PEACE
And where is saddam Hoessein ?
And Osama Bin Laden?
They are very dangerous for the hole world.
I am thinking there will never be peace on this world
till the moment that Jesus is coming back.

Good afternoone all.  I am at work, but it is slow.

Sarah, I so appreciated the honesty of your post last night.  It really hit close to me.  I, also, have been "struggling" with God about some changes He wants to make in my life.  I feel that this morning, I was honestly able to say, "Whatever you want, God, do it.  Let me see you at work in my life."  

It is so good to see everyone and I really appreciate the language lessons.  Here is some "Southernese" for ya!

Hi Karmet or anyone else who lives down south,

I will be going to Fayetteville, NC in about three weeks.

So fill me in on customs for this Northener "Jersey" girl to learn about, foods, speech , etc.

Can I say "whatever" and they will know that means "just leave me be."

I use that here when I want to go on with my work and I can't get across what I want to say in comparison to what others are saying; so I learned from my 13 yr. old grand daughter just to say "Whatever"

Also, she taught me to hold out my hand when I don't want to hear anymore and say "talk to the hand".

Will that be a little too disrespectful ??

Just teasing, I will probably just act myself and let the good LORD lead me.

My daughter said don't be surprised to see people eating a lot of bisquits and gravy.

She wants me to make a lot of the italian favorites and leave a freezer full of goodies.

Biscuits and gravy are a staple down here.  Also, we like our tea sweetened AND iced.

Enjoy Fayetteville.  That is about 6 hours east of me.

My daughter just emailed me where we are to meet.

She said that we are going to have finger food, salad and cake.

O.K.  now I know what salads and cake are but anyone guess on the finger food.

Chicken nuggets?

Shrimp and dip?

I was hoping in the line of chicken, my husband was hoping for shrimp.

We will see in about three weeks.

Now I am getting hungry; so it looks like I will head home in a little while.

Fun being here most of the day; saw some really nice photos.

Larry thank you for your words about the young boy
who has played suicide. But also this evening one of
our pastors have been to his parents. But also now
the parents are saying what are you doing here.
Still now they are saying God is death for us.
But i have ask my son do you know the boy he say to
me yes. But he has use to much drugs and that is
being his death. Tomorrow evening then we have
church and then we can pray for the parents.
I alo go and i will pray that the parent find peace and
rest by God.

It is 11.00 PM in Holland i am going to bed.

Pat it's a bit dark in the park tonight.  See you there tomorrow afternoon., Sidney really enjoyed his pud...IO saw him this afternoon.  The others tease me but this gentleman is so dear. His sister lives next door to him but she's not very able bodied and he just drives up the hill each afternoon to break up his day of loneliness.

Thank you for that hymn Pat.  It's lovely to have beautiful words about Heaven before we go to bed. Like having a bedtime story! Except that this one is true!  I do hope that you Pat and I get some sleep tonight. Come on doggies, be good!

Judy and Joyce I will have to try some of this Southern hospitality for myself!  Very laid  back....Finger licking means no washing up of pots..Yes?  Great!
Perhaps they can add some of Etta Sue's Dump cake to the menu.  I can recommend it.

But I do not like to eat the grits much. But i think if you go there, you will need to eat a grit.   I had to too.

Worts = an herbaceous plant    

Warts = one that suggests a wart especially in smallness, unpleasantness, or unattractiveness  

God made both, so I hope if I must be one it is the best one I can be.  

Someone asked (and I apologize because I forget who it was) if Lee Kirkwood was our #100th member.

No, he's only #99 as we had a member delete his membership so that put us down one.

A clergyman was walking down the street when he came upon a group of about a dozen boys, all of them between 10 and 12 years of age.

The group surrounded a dog. Concerned lest the boys were hurting the dog, he went over and asked "What are you doing with that dog?"

One of the boys replied, "This dog is just an old neighborhood stray. We all want him, but only one of us can take him home. So we've decided that whichever one of us can tell the biggest lie will get to keep the dog."

Of course, the reverend was taken aback. "You boys shouldn't be having a contest telling lies!" he exclaimed. He then launched into a ten minute sermon against lying, beginning, "Don't you boys know it's a sin to lie," and ending with, "Why, when I was your age, I never told a lie."

There was dead silence for about a minute. Just as the reverend was beginning to think he'd gotten through to them, the smallest boy gave a deep sigh and said, "All right, give him the dog."

Stayed home from church yesterday and indoors today.  Caught a cold.  We are having high temps. for the island and not certain how that happened!


My daughter just phoned and said that there is a forest fire on the Malahat near where they live.  The water bombers are there and Amanda saw the flames on her way home from school.  Things are tinder dry here and the danger is far from over.  Such a strange year!

Mieka....you are a hoot!!!!!!  I love you to pieces and now you are speaking German, I think!!!  BTW, you have the neatest looking warts I have ever seen.    

Jerry and I got his business started.  Then we went to the Mexican Restaurant.  A lady was outside and mouthed the words....It's Closed!
I put the window down and said, 'What?  For good?'  The walked to my car door and said, the sign says 'Closed for Repair'.  She was meeting 3 other ladies there for lunch so was going to wait until they got there and then decide where to go.  Jerry and I went to another Mexican restaurant so I did get my Mexican today.  Then I took him home.  

When I got home, I noticed the moles had a few more hills in the yard.  IF ANYONE KNOWS A SURE-FIRE WAY OF GETTING RID OF MOLES OTHER THAN DIGGING UP THE YARD, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!  I have these pellets that I put in the 'runs'.  I was doing that...bent over and something hit the back of my legs and about knocked me down.  Libby, KDon and Barb's dog!!!!!  The little stinker.  She didn't make a noise.  Just jumped up and hit my legs.  I didn't see anyone outside but she went back home.  

Then I walked to Ivalou's.  We went to KMart and then to eat.  I had an ice cream sundae.  We didn't get back home until after 5PM.  So it has been a long day!  But a wonderful day!!!

Pat, I hope you get a very restful night's sleep tonight!!!!

Jenny, thanks for the kind thougts regarding the Creed and Chris thanks for posting the link to the creeds.  I checked it out.  After reading your post Jenny I thought to myself I imagine I can find that Creed on the Internet and before I could look I saw the link Chris had put in his post.

I had another busy day and no time for a rest this afternoon so will be retiring early this evening.  See you all tomorrow.

I just had a phone call from Ruthie and she can't get online right now and is missing all of us!

I just got home a few minutes ago from a Deacon's meeting at church.  Everything that was brought up we all agreed on!  I think that must be some kind of record.    The next meeting will be a joint meeting of Elders and Deacons, but unfortunately it's scheduled for the same night I have a Planning Board meeting.  I told the Pastor I wouldn't be able to make it and, since Gene doesn't drive after dark any more he won't be there either.  Too bad, because there will be quite a few matters discussed that we both wanted to have some input on.  

Tonight it's not just chilly, it's COLD!  Summer is really and truly gone, I guess.
