JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Sarah, that's really good.  I'm going to keep that.  PRAYER is so very important.

Thanks for sharing that with us.  And we're still praying for you too.

Yes, that Dump Cake Recipe is well worth trying.  It is easy and very tasty.

Karmat,   You are making my mouth water just thinking about biscuits and gravy.  I haven't had them in quite a while and they are soooooo good.    :( :( :(

I will have to go back a reread today's posts.  I'm sure I have missed a lot.

Good night everyone.

Elizabeth

Etta Sue, that problem with the garden moles reminded me of the children's grandmother.  She was a keen gardener and they had a hobby farm.  One year the moles were causing a problem and she used to sit out with a gun and flashlight, waiting for them to pop their little heads out....'twas really funny.  The dignified lady and her gun!  They had a bird sanctuary and she also had it in for the starlings & crows.  Never had a chance...

Talked with my daughter and the fire is now under control.  Sent out the water bombers in full force.  Sure do need rain again.  Thought we were done with the hot weather and here it is, Summer again.

Mieka, you are always a surprise!  How many languages do you know!

Have a pleasant evening all...Liz.

Pat

I'm so glad about the fire, Liz!  It's awful to hear about these fires.  When we were in Calgary, I was so surprised at the smoky haze that was present while we were there.

Between the finger foods (food you feed your fingers, or food that tastes like your fingers), Mieka's warts, and Etta taking a Mexican home with her, I am in stitches.  Hopefully, I don't wake the baby with my laughter.

Oh yea, Mieka,

I HATE GRITS unless they have a lot of sugar and butter on them.  I would rather have cream of wheat (I hate oatmeal, too).  Bernard likes grits, though, and my godson, Dylan, could live off of them.

mieka

Ms Elizabeth, I only know some Chinese and a not very good English.  :-\
I often use a translator to help me. It is very smart. It can talk in many languages.  8)
So it is a bad cheat.  :P
(he he heheh Mr Moak)  ;D

the Grits are very gross. and hard to eat with a chopstick.

Ruthie

Hi Everyone:

Many wonderful posts.  Talking about GRITS,  I remember a Pastor from Alabama coming to Peoples Church in Toronto.  He had a suit on and white sneakers.  He had a southern accent and he would say   "Thaats whare the fork meats the griits!"  (translated -"That's where the fork meets the Grits")  We laughed all through his message.

Isn't it wonderful to know the Body of Christ is all over the world?

Well I will have to go to bed now and reread some of the posts tomorrow.

Love Ruthie

The Lord is my light and my salvation Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Ps. 27:1

Al Moak

Mieka - du bist ein CHEATER!!!!  But you fooled me!

Pat

I see some are still online and so while I'm getting the next New Every Morning for tomorrow ready to post, you can listen and sing this hymn together.

It Will Be Worth It All

Words and music by Esther Kerr Rusthoi

Oft times the day seems long, our trials hard to bear,
We're tempted to complain, to murmur and despair;
But Christ will soon appear to catch His Bride away,
All tears forever over in God's eternal day.

Refrain
It will be worth it all when we see Jesus,
Life's trials will seem so small when we see Christ;
One gliimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase,
So bravely run the race till we see Christ.

Sometimes the sky looks dark with not a ray of light,
We're tossed and driven on , no human help in sight;
But there is one in heav'n who knows our deepest care,
Let Jesus solve your problem - just go to Him in pray'r.

Refrain
It will be worth it all when we see Jesus,
Life's trials will seem so small when we see Christ;
One gliimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase,
So bravely run the race till we see Christ.

Life's day will soon be o'er, all storms forever past,
We'll cross the great divide, to glory, safe at last;
We'll share the joys of heav'n - a harp, a home, a crown,
The tempter will be banished, we'll lay our burden down.

Refrain
It will be worth it all when we see Jesus,
Life's trials will seem so small when we see Christ;
One gliimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase,
So bravely run the race till we see Christ.
