Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Add the Adirondacks to the area having early fall weather.  In fact, we hardly had any real summer.  We went down to about 48F last night and now at 10:45, with bright sunshine, it's only 67F.   :o

I seems that hardly any of us has had their "usual" weather this year.  We are enjoying nice, cool nights and early mornings, so nice!

Ken, the children's book is titled Wheelie and Runt and it is a true story of a pair of little pigs that were born on our family's farm many years ago.  It was several years in the making, as I wasn't sure that it would be wise to invest a lot of money into the publication.  But it is available now!  It is a cute story containing life lessons all kids have to learn.  Thanks for asking!  It can be found at Amazon, Tate Publishing.com or may be purchased from me.  My grandson who designed my website hasn't yet had time to add this book to it, what with having to move out of their house quite suddenly because of the baby's getting lead poisoning.

Beth's party was fun, and the ladies all seemed to have a good time.  They all liked the homemade ice cream and cake!  ;)

Today after our gym workout, I got busy on the peaches and got 6 big bags put into the freezer.  Then after lunch, I went out into the garage and unloaded the big freezer's contents into plastic totes and ice chests, and now the freezer is setting out on the driveway in the sunshine so the frost can melt off.  It was needing defrosted really bad!  Another chore we put off too long.  :-[  Then the sorting and repacking into the freezer will be done.  At least I can say I got some things accomplished today!  :)

Pat, our visit is coming up soon, and I can hardly wait!!  Look for an email from me today!

Time to go get another drink of water!

:)  Well I started a post and I don't know what happened to it.    We have been busy this week again with the grand kid's and at the mission I am driving two days a week for the mission and not in the food bank room.

Well I hope that you will have a wonderful weekend and this is a long weekend here in Canada.  May the Lord richly bless you all and have a wonderful day in the Lord's house. :)

Love in Christ.  Gordon and Noreen. :cp: :pine: :rocker:

Good to see you posting a little more often, Gord.  You are always busy, like some others here (but definitely not me.   ;D )

Pat:  Is that all you accomplished last week?     10 years since you have seen Janet.  Too bad you couldn't meet her after leaving here.

I thought it was Saturday today and was preparing to go to the early service tomorrow morning when Don informed me that it is Friday night.  Oh, well.  While chatting with an old friend who moved to North Carolina, I sat on the deck and watch a gray coyote scoot around and climb on the fallen trunk of a dead tree in the ravine.  Later, with lots of sirens going off, the coyote family sang a serenade - yip yip yip.  We took a donation to Sal. Army this afternoon and did a U-turn when spotting a British Tea Shop - how unusual.  The tea was perfect and it was such a special place.  There are several friends who will like to meet there for a treat sometime.  It was a wonderful treat.

Take care everyone.

Hi everyone.  It is going to be another really hot day here in Georgia with a 60% chance of some showers this afternoon and evening.  We can use some rain after these very hot days.  I went to coffee this morning but have decided to stay in the rest of the day as I did yesterday.  I did have a successful call with Comcast yesterday and they credited my account for all of the charges above what they were last month, except for a $2 increase in the rental of the gateway.  They now have a 30 day satisfaction guarantee and this was the reason they gave me the refund.  As usual when I dread something the actual event isn't as bad as I had expected.  I also finished making the cd copies and the labels for the new disks yesterday.

Judy, will look forward to seeing the pictures of Melaura.

Ken, I have read several places where they expect we have a hard winter over the country.  We have had a representative of the Gideon's speak at our church.

Jeanne, that 48 degrees is really chilly.

Janet, it does sound like Beth and her friends had a good time but who wouldn't with homemade ice cream and cake.  I remember my folks having to defrost their freezer and how the ice accumulated in it.  Also the old refrigerators had the same problem and it was always a mess in de-icing them.

Gord, this is also a long weekend here in the USA as Monday is Labor Day.

Carol, when we are retired it is difficult to remember what day of the week it is.  I don't think we have any British Tea Shops in our area but they are in the process of opening an Irish Pub.

Oh, my!  I had almost forgotten about defrosting refrigerators!  What a chore that always was.  And yet we thought those refrigerators were such an improvement over the old wooden ice boxes with their blocks of ice that melted into the tray underneath that always needed to be emptied before it would overflow.   :D

It's almost "crispy" this morning, but should warm up to mid 70's this afternoon.  I'm about ready to take off for my annual luncheon reunion with my cousins so I'll be away for a while.  But I'll be back later - that's a promise (or a threat, depending on how you look at it.  ;D ).

Yep, defrosting a freezer, either on a refrigerator or just the freezer is a chore we dislike.  The upside is that you do sort through the food as you put it back, getting rid of freezer burnt or otherwise unsavory stuff.  And that makes even more room!  We have a smaller freezer which is frost-free, but the larger one still works well, so we keep using it.  (We have both full to the doors!)  I never had one of the kind of refrigerators that used blocks of ice.  My first memory of refrigerators is of my parent's faithful old Servel.  Remember those?

Carol, I wish I could visit that tea shop with you, it sounds lovely!  I forget where you are now--is it Canon City or Denver?  You guys get around!

Larry, glad you got Comcast problems sorted out, and I agree, the dreading doing something is usually worse than the actual doing!  I have experienced the same many times.

Hi, Gord!  Sorry I missed your call last night.  I usually try to get to bed by 9:00 at the latest, because I get up at 4 to 5 AM.  I love having quiet time with the Lord, and it has become such a joy that I am spending around three hours with Him daily.  I will send you an email, if I have your email address.  Edit:  you called as I was typing this, so we have already talked!

I went to the Farmers' Market this morning and got a few things--tomatoes, 4 potatoes and one cantaloupe.  I nearly fainted when the gal said, "That will be $19.85."   :o  Man!  If I wanted to work hard, I would start a small truck farm!  At those prices, I would get rich!

Jeanne, it's nice you don't have to stay any busier than you want to be.  Sometimes I wish for a day with no "have-tos" in it!  But they do not come often for me!  ;)

I want to make a peach pie, so off I go!
