Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Pretty powerful poem, Glenn, thanks for sharing it.  Several parts strongly resonate with me because they speak to issues we encountered when my father passed earlier this year.

What a meaningful poem!  Poetry, like music, speaks to my heart.  Glenn, I have been thinking about what you said about both you and your Dad wanting to have a closer relationship, but each thinking the other didn't, and I was impressed to tell you that because your Dad accepted Jesus, your opportunity hasn't passed you by.  Now you will have eternity to fellowship with each other, without misunderstandings or conflicts.  Isn't God wonderful?

I helped Pat with her garage sale today, was to help tomorrow, but her mother is here and they really do not need my help; so Darrel and I are going to Garden City.  There are a couple things on sale at Menards that I want to check out.

I had a good time of visiting, reading to and praying with Beth this afternoon.  God's healing power is working in her!  PTL!

I heard about the girl being suspended for saying "Bless you!" to a classmate who sneezed.  That happened in Tennessee.  Is this the country we grew up in?  It surely doesn't seem to be.  So sad.  I don't even want to think what another two years may bring!  Please come quickly, Lord Jesus!

Larry, I forgot to thank you for your suggestions about more light for reading my Bible in the early morning.  I appreciate that, and will be looking for a small light I can clamp onto the windowsill close by my chair to give me more light.  I should be able to find something that will work!

Gord, we will be staying on the Canadian side of the Falls!

Hi everyone on another hot and humid day here in Georgia.  We are suppose to get up to 95 degrees this afternoon.  I think we will just stay in where it is cool today as the heat and humidity really quickly saps our energy.  So it will be a quiet and restful day at home.

Judy, thanks for the link.  I did see a Facebook posting by Glenn on the passing of his father but have not seen what was posted here.

Buddy, both my wife and I are natives of Missouri.  I grew up on a farm in NW Missouri and my wife was from Independence.  The Grand Canyon is really awesome.

Glenn, thanks for sharing that poem.  We are never ready to let them go even when we know they have suffered too much.

Ken, that poem also resonates with me since we lost our daughter on February.

Janet, I was talking with a friend yesterday at lunch who is a retired school teacher and he said there could be more to the story of the girl who said "Bless you" in that in the classroom when someone sneezed and they were responded to then a student on the other side of the room would fake a sneeze and it would go back and forth.  There has been nothing I have read indicating that such was the case here and they reported what the teacher had said about no mention of God in her classroom.  Regarding light to read, Pat and I both have had Ott Reading floor lamps by our easy chairs for several years.  It provides a nice concentrated reading light without shining throughout the room..

What started out as a sunny promising day has once again turned into a cloudy damp day.  Even tough it isn't raining, it sure looks like it.  We have family coming to help put our wood into the basement.......not pleasant if the rain starts and not much will get accomplished. {sigh}.

On another note, we are only 2 loads short of our goal!  Woot woot!

Help has arrived so I am off.

Carol

The red crested Cardinal in Random Image is beautiful!.  Thank you.

Such a struggle today with the computer and making a reservation for October.  I will have to call and check on Monday to see if the order went through.  It is a whole day of free classes on genealogy but if you want lunch - I do - you have to pay ahead.  Well, that part didn't take.  The classes are in Arizona so we will need to get there first and that is sorta planned for early October.

We met new neighbors moving in today and showed them through our house - they have a similar setup.  They said a realtor told them thousands of people are moving to this area - I mean Denver.  We gripe all the time about too many on the roads so this has changed into a clogged area just like my home town of Seattle.  Gridlock in transportation.  Anyway, nice couple.  She knits and they are "Birders" just like another couple of friends.

Judy:  Cutting and stacking wood to heat the place is a real job & then you have to take it downstairs & bring it up.  I hope you have backup heat for the times that the job gets too tough.

Glenn:  There are always so many unanswered questions when you lose a parent and I pray that you can be content with what you do know.  Very nice poem.

A good neighbor/friend has to sell their home here and move to Arizona because of her breathing difficulties - her children were working there today and they all promise to visit their parents often.  This is a couple from Wyoming and they will miss the open space but do like the area they are buying.  Sad time for her.

Meatballs with cream gravy for supper and broccoli for the veggie.  I would love mashed potatoes but Don doesn't need the carbs and neither do I.
