Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Larry, are you sure you're in Atlanta and not in Corinth?  We're having the exact same weather - 37 degrees and overcast!   :D

John, I keep hoping you'll be heading to my area so we can meet for a visit at Scotty's in Wilton, NY.

Janet, you're praying for more snow and I'm praying we've had our full share!     Although actually, we're about 13 inches short of normal for this time of year.

  I just glanced to the left and read 'Have you seen the POTTY?'  Those abbreviations can get you, sometimes!  ;)

We are having a beautiful and warm day here in our little corner of Kansas!  Lovely!  I just made a run to Dollar General for some dog food and a few other items, then to see Beth.  I wanted to know if she wants to go to church tonight or in the morning.  We decided to go in the morning.  Darrel isn't going as he says he can't get his pants to fasten over the big elastic band he has to wear for a few more days.  So I will have to recruit some help to get Beth into and out of the van, but it shouldn't be a problem.

Larry, Janice did answer my question, but I need to play with the Kindle a little to be sure I got it right, and Darrel is using it just now.  I tried to download some books on the Nook yesterday but don't see them on it, so must have done something wrong.   :-\

See you all later!

Back home again in Indiana!!  They ought to make a song out of those words.  Has a nice ring to it!!   <3

Well, we got on I-65 in Kentucky and one of those electronic signs across the highway at mile-marker 71 said there was an accident at mm84.  12...yes, I said 12 hour delay.  And we were to exit at exit 81.  I changed my GPS to shortest route instead of fastest route and I exited at exit 74.  It took over 45 minutes to go those 3 miles!!!!  Everyone was turning left but I went right.  The GPS had me on roads that was up and down, left and right but I finally ended up where US31W went back onto I-65...where everyone that went left at exit 74....only I was ahead of them, I am sure!

And it snowed in Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky and in Indiana.  When we got on I-24 west of Chattanooga, it is steep grade.  Ivalou noticed the snow on the mountain first.  It looked like hoar frost...every twig was covered.  Just past Monteagle there is a rest area.  I got a video of the snow there.  All the trees looked like sycamore trees!!!  It was beautiful.

And we left Cartersville, GA at 7:30am and I had every thing in Ivalou's house and my house by 7:30pm.  Long day...especially since Ivalou slept a lot!!

I am hoping to go to church.  I can get everything else done later....even next week if I have to!

Janet Percoset is acetaminophen and Oxycodone.  Oxycontin is just Oxycodone much stronger than Percoset.

Not much new here today. I don't know if I told you but I have lost 22.8 lbs and 27 inches. last night I ordered a  size 10-12 dress that I hope to get into for our Dr. Son's graduation from residency. it is being held at a Country club so I want to look my best. I still have 12 lbs to reach my goal. I am walking 5-8 miles a day. You would be surprised how many miles you walk just doing you chores and errands.

Go, Marilyn!  My first pair of jeans were a size 12...when I was only in the 5th grade.  I did get back into a size 12 pant back in the '70's...for about a week!!   :D

I had a great night's rest.  I didn't even have to read to fall asleep!

I am ready for church.  White stuff is on the ground and only 23°!  I had to remember to dress for cooler weather this morning...not my new summer top I got in Florida!

Marilyn, I'm not a pharmacist, but his prescription was for Percoset and what they gave him was Oxycontin.  I hope they know what they are doing!

Welcome home, Etta Sue!!  You had quite a driving adventure, didn't you?

Darrel isn't going to church with me, I am ready to go but had a few minutes so decided to post before I leave.

Be sure to watch The Bible on the history channel tonight!!

Thanks, I just worked out the aches and pain - there is always something "to do".  I could do with a little nap this morning but having to put together a lunch for cousin & wife.  The ribs will slow cook in the oven when we are at church - the apple crisp dessert is baked and I will heat the potato dish and apple crisp at the last minute.  Coleslaw is ready as well as a raspberry side dish.  That should be enough.  This table is small and the kitchen is even smaller but it keeps a person on their toes to fix a full meal.  Easter will be home and back to my kinda cooking.

Marilyn:  Congratulations on your weight loss.

Larry:  The young man in ICU is probably being released but it is a sad story because he is an alcoholic and almost suicidal.  The depths of despair - if only they would see the goodness all around.

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone.  It is a beautiful morning here today with a lot of sun.  I haven't been outside but know it is pretty chilly.  We didn't get up until after 9 am as Pat didn't have the best night.  I decided to not go to church today as am just tired and will take things easy today.  Tomorrow our son and DIL are coming over for the day. I am in the process of doing a clean install of Windows 7 on my desktop computer. I apparently got a virus as whenever I click in an address line or anything that requires the keyboard starts automatically sending a line of dashes across the line continually and I really can't use it.  I have run virus scans with no results.  I don't mind redoing it as it was just a couple of weeks ago I put the programs on it. I don't have to rush with the project as have my laptop, iPad and Pat's computer available when I need a computer.

Jeanne, you expect that cold weather this time of the year but by now it is usually quite a few days in the 60s as the norm.  We will be getting warmer weather later this week.

Janet, glad you got the answer from Janice on your Kindle question.  Once you select a book you will probably only see the book cover and have to click on the download link to actually have the book delivered to your device.  I know that is way the application for Nook and for the Kindle work on my devices.  I can understand Darrel not wanting to get out and go to church as it hasn't been long since his surgery.  Pat is taking Oxycontin.  I can't keep it straight what is in what drug.

Etta Sue, glad you are home safely and had a good trip.  I am glad you had the GPS system to help you with those back roads.  I guess you got to see some different country than the same old, same old on the Interstate. It doesn't sound like the snow you saw created any problems other than perhaps some glare.

Marilyn, congrats on your weight loss. I am sure you will reach your goal.

Carol, I don't think we who are not alcoholic can ever understand the depth of despair that addicts endure.  Those of us who live with such situations also suffer and people who haven't lived with the situations can never really understand what we go through as well and that is why the 12 Step programs are so good because we associate with people who have and are walking the same paths.  I do hope the young man gets the help he needs but only he can do what has to be done to save himself.
