JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

What a beautiful tribute to Papa John.  I'm sure he looks forward to his home-going, and he will be missed.  But with each friend or loved one who moves there, heaven becomes a little sweeter for us, as we look forward to that grand reunion!

Hi everyone.  We had an extremely rainy night and it is suppose to continue until noon and then just turn to cloudiness.  However, it is currently 57 degrees but headed downward throughout the day.

Our friends came over yesterday afternoon and he did a lot of small chores for us in preparation for moving and she packed some small items.  Today we will go to church but not out to lunch with the group as this is the afternoon we go to have the meal with our Nigerian friends from church.

Judy, glad that you and John are feeling better.  What is a meme that you share on facebook?

Janet, hope you aren't snowed in today.  We have several Dollar General and other dollar stores in our area and lots of people shop there, including myself on occasion.

Marilyn, what a beautiful tribute Martha has written about Papa John.  Sorry to see he is slipping away but I am sure he is ready to be with the Lord.

Ruth Ann, like you we enjoyed meals with Papa John and Cornelia at the Atlanta Bash and then later as they came through Atlanta on their way home to Nashville.

I have a tale to tell.  We have a wonderful God.

The propane which I use for heating and cooking is subsidized by HEAP and delivery is automatically  scheduled.  It had been a very long time since the last delivery and about three weeks ago the gauges showed one of the two tanks as empty and the other with about 15 gallons remaining.  So I kept watching for the truck and got more and more nervous when it didn't come.

Then, suddenly!  I remembered the lamps that didn't run out of oil.  So...  I said, "Lord you could keep those lamps burning, you can keep my furnace running, too."  And I felt such a peace!

This past Friday, knowing a bitter cold spell is predicted for the coming week, I again checked the gauges.  Both registered empty.

I called the propane company and calmly told the gal who answered that both my tanks showed zero.  (I mention "calmly" because normally I would have ranted and raved).  She put me on hold for about 20 seconds, came back online and said "We'll have someone there within two hours."  I thanked her and hung up.

The furnace continued to run about every 20 minutes and in a little more than an hour the delivery truck arrived.  The furnace had been running about 5 minutes before he got here.

Once both tanks were filled, since they had been totally empty, the delivery man was required to make sure the furnace would run.  I pushed the thermostat up a degree and - the furnace didn't start.  He relit the pilot light as he was required to do and made sure everything was working before he left.

Was I "lucky"?  NO!!!  I believe the Lord who made sure the oil in the lamps wouldn't run out made sure this child of His wouldn't run out of propane and heat.  That furnace was "running on empty" for more than an hour.

What a wonderful God we have!
