Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go
(Click to hear music)

Melody - Carrie E. Rounsefell
Words:  Vs 1:Mary Brown; Vs. 2, 3:Charles E. Prior

It may not be on the mountain's height
Or over the stormy sea,
It may not be at the battle's front
My Lord will have need of me;
But if by a still, small voice
He calls to paths I do not know,
I'll answer, dear Lord, with my hand in Thine,
I'll go where You want me to go.

Chorus:
I'll go where You want me to go, dear Lord,
O'er mountain or plain or sea;
I'll say what You want me to say, dear Lord,
I'll be what You want me to be.

Perhaps today there are loving words
Which Jesus would have me speak,
There may be now, in the paths of sin,
Some wand'rer whom I should seek;
O Savior, if Thou wilt be my Guide,
Tho' dark and rugged the way,
My voice shall echo the message sweet,
I'll say what you want me to say.

Chorus:
I'll go where You want me to go, dear Lord,
O'er mountain or plain or sea;
I'll say what You want me to say, dear Lord,
I'll be what You want me to be.

There's surely somewhere a lowly place
In earth's harvest fields so wide,
Where I may labor through life's short day
For Jesus the Crucified;
So, trusting my all unto Thy care-
I know Thou lovest me-
I'll do Thy will with a heart sincere,
I'll be what You want me to be.

Chorus:
I'll go where You want me to go, dear Lord,
O'er mountain or plain or sea;
I'll say what You want me to say, dear Lord,
I'll be what You want me to be.

We awoke this morning to a foggy and now overcast morning.  We had a nice group at our Men's Senior Coffee at the Senior Center with one new man, recently retired, joining us.  I was very glad that my treatment yesterday was cancelled as was really feeling worn out and as a result could spend the last part of the morning and most of the afternoon just laying down.  They called again late yesterday afternoon to tell me not to come again today and they will call when the computer problems have been fixed and the treatments can resume.  As a result I am going to be able to attend my ROMEO's luncheon at 11:30, which I had expected to miss for several times.  That will be it for today.

Judy, that would be quite a burden washing things upstairs and then having to get them to the basement to dry and then back upstairs again.  Hope your new arrangement is ready soon.

Al, I join with the others in saying it is cheering to see your post appear again yesterday.  Hope all is going well and they are feeding you well.

Janet

Hey there Al--good to "see" you!

Larry, glad you are getting a little reprieve from your treatments, hope there won't be any adverse effects from the pause, and that you can regain strength in the interim.

Darrel and I drove to Dodge City yesterday afternoon to pick John up at the airport.  His plane was a little late, so it was midnight before we got home.  John went directly to bed, was up early this morning and said, "I'm going in to see Beth.  I'm anxious to see her."  I teasingly said, "Oh, is that why you came--to see BETH?"

I gave Beth a haircut yesterday, and while in Dodge, I bought some hair care products that I think might help us keep her hair looking nicer.  At least I hope so.  Her hair is naturally curly in the back, but the top of it is straight as a string.  It used to be curly all over.  Anyway, I will try rolling some curlers in the top part, to give her some fullness around her face. (I know...TMI. Sorry.)

I need to get stuff together to go to an art class tomorrow.  Also, our dear friend in Pratt called this morning to tell me her husband passed away early this morning.  She asked me to share something about Eugene at his service.  It will be on Monday or Tuesday.

Just hopping in to say hello. All is well in my household..... the Lord is truly looking after us so we can be prayer warriors for those who are "in the valley"

Big :grouphug: to all

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone.  just back from coffee at McDonald's.  I sure enjoyed the ROMEO's luncheon yesterday at the Mexican Restaurant. One of the guys had a bunch of coupons so another man and I each got the a combo lunch 2 for the price of one.  There were nine of us at the table. I am staying at home the rest of the day unless we decide to so out to eat.

Janet, I was thinking of John last evening and wondering if it wasn't about time for his arrival.  I bet the days have been long for Beth anticipating the day he walked through the door.  Sorry about you losing a friend and sure don't envy you having to speak at the funeral. Hope you will or have enjoyed your painting class today.

RuthV, always nice to see your posting and glad that things are going well for your household.

Ah home for a weeks holidays to get some work done around the house. Had a nice time with family last night with a surprise birthday party for me. It was nice to see them come out to the farm. we enjoyed dinner together and had a camp fire time after dinner. it was nice. Judy arranged with my dispatcher to get me home early so i wouldn't miss the event. I think by the time I get done with this week at home Ill be going back to work for a rest. Heather and her family are here for the weekend and my grandson is staying for the week to help me with the renovations and our grand daughter will be here for the summer to help Judy. Will be back later. Have a blessed day everyone.

Thank you, Iainfor devotions.  We feel like we are being tumbled much like the rocks this past month.  Reading your note puts so much into perspective.

Also, my study of Solomon and his message is right on spot for us now.

Gord:  I left a message on Noreen's health issues.  We keep on caring.

Larry:  You have discomfort on your latest procedure - that is not nice to hear.  Glad it is over and they can take care of you.  Nice that Stacey is looking and feeling better.

Janet:  Enjoy your fishy mess  :cool:  Hugs to you as you go out to speak at your friend's funeral.

Al:Super to hear from you.  Are you talking Texan now?  Y'all and so forth?

Carol

  Happy Birthday John

RuthV

I'm back again. My husband and I went over to JudyB's and JohnB's to celebrate his special birthday.... many came from out of town:
Pat will probably post a picture of us CPers when she gets home....
We had a lovely time!!!

JudyB

Thank you to you and Everette, for helping to make this a very special day for John. He had no clue!  Again thank you.  The hardest thing I ever had to do was to keep this party from John, really difficult when you tell your best friend everything!!!

This was an intense weekend. Last night we had family over and spent a wonderful time with them.  Then  today with Pat and close and some long time friends we had a wonderful evening eating and visiting.  now to do the clean up and rest up.  Thankfully we used Styrofoam plates all I have to wash is silverware.  Much easier this way!

Going to go for now, back tomorrow.

Ruth Ann Bice

Such good posts this evening.

Time (past time, in fact) for bed.

So, see y'all later.

Janet

A huge, although belated, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to John!  I had good intentions of sending a message for Judy tp print out for you, but alas, time flew past, forgetfulness kicked in, and it didn't get done.  :-[ :-[ :-\.   So nice to read that you all had a wonderful time together.  We should get together with those we love more often.

I didn't take my paints and brushes to class yesterday, only drawing supplies.  I needed to force myself to practice drawing, as that is my weakest area, the one in which I have had almost no training.  So it was a struggling day for me, but I did learn some things.  Did you know that when you draw, you should NEVER have an outline around anything?  "Coloring book mentality" is what that's called......sigh..... :-\.....

Carol, good to see your post this morning.  Hope all is well with you and yours.

Larry, it was good for you to have a day off, so to speak.  Glad you enjoyed it.

Beth is indeed enjoying having John around, Larry.  They go out a lot to eat, as you know the food in any institution gets to tasting.....well.....institutional.   :P  So she really enjoys a change.  Last evening they had a hamburger/hot dog/homemade ice cream feed out at the fairgrounds, along with a western band concert.  I met them out there, and enjoyed all but the music.  Why do they think LOUDER is better?  Goodness! It hurt my ears!   I am feeling a little 'down' this morning though, because I observed more deterioration in Beth's condition.  I don't often have a chance to be an observer, usually I am the one feeding her, etc.  But John was taking care of her, leaving me free to just watch.  God bless John, he is wonderful, and such a joy in Beth's tough life.

Can you believe this?  Today is our Abby's 16th birthday!!  How the years fly past!  We are going to Hugoton to attend church at My Father's House, then are invited to stay for her birthday dinner at her parents' house.  John will be taking Beth to church this morning, then I'm sure they will go out to eat again.  It is just too hard on Beth to take her out of town, as her wheelchair isn't really comfortable for her.

I think I'd better get busy.  I have put a lot of thought into what to say at Eugene's service, but now want to type it out, read and make corrections, add, delete, etc.  Tomorrow will soon be today!

May our loving Lord bless each of you dear ones in a special way today.
