JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

There's a quiet understanding
When we're gathered in the spirit
It's a promise that He gives us
When we gather in His name
There's a love we feel in Jesus
There's a manna that He feeds us
It's a promise that He gives us
When we gather in His name

And we know when we're together
Sharing love and understanding
That our brothers and our sisters
Feel the oneness that He brings
Thank You, thank You, thank You, Jesus
For the way You love and feed us
For the many ways You lead us
Thank You, thank You, Lord.

Hi everyone on a beautiful and sunny, lovely day here in Georgia.  This is a big day for Atlanta as the NCAA Basketball Finals are this evening, there are concerts in the parks and the Braves play this afternoon or evening.  They are expecting between 100 to 150 thousand people to be downtown for those events.  Pat's foot is feeling much better today.  She soaked it in Epsom salts twice yesterday and took Alieve and that seems to have helped.

We did get some good news yesterday regarding Stacey.  They did a bone marrow test on her yesterday morning and as a result have told her she doesn't have leukemia.  They also did a CT scan and x-ray of her other foot and found she has two more broken bones in the foot (breaks 18 and 19 in that foot) from the Charcot Food Disease and there is inflammation in her foot.  This may be the cause of the high white cell count. She was able to get in her wheelchair yesterday and go outside for a couple of hours and enjoy the fresh air (this was with the doctor's permission).  However, this morning she is running a 101 degree temperature so won't be able to leave her room today.  There is a man in the room next to her with an infectious disease of some type and yesterday one of the techs came from his room with the protective clothing still on into Stacey's room.  Stacey told her to get out and immediately called the head nurse and reported it and told her she never wanted that tech back in her room.  Have to hope she hasn't been infected with something else from this carelessness on the part of the tech.

Etta Sue, nice you could go over and cheer up Kitty.  I know Dairy Queen always cheers me up.  :) It sounds like you had a really nice day yesterday weather-wise and thanks for sending on down this way.

Ruth, nice that your aunt enjoyed the surprise eating out place.  Thanks for your thoughts in our regard.

Marilyn, sounds like not great news regarding your dogs but good to know what you are dealing with.

Gord, sorry to read you have not been feeling well but it sounds like you are making improvement.  Not good for a singer to lose his voice.  Thanks to you and to everyone for your continued prayers and kind thoughts.

Judy, I know you will have read above concerning Stacey today.  She did have a restful night. The physical therapist told us now to make our own inexpensive ice packs using rubbing alcohol and water in zip lock top bags.  I think we used two gallon bags and put one inside the other to provide a seal if the bag with the solution were to spring a leak.  I couldn't remember the proportions so Googled it and here is one of the recipe links:  http://bonusmommie.com/2013/03/30/diy-ice-packs/  They really work and if it get too hard add more rubbing alcohol and the opposite if it is too watery.  Glad your procedure went well.

Carol

Large bags of frozen peas are handy when icy cooling is needed as well.

I am recovering and much better today so Don wants me to go with him to the HOA meeting.  Oh, joy!   Sipping some tea called decaff Bengal Spice.  Not bad.  Good things happen too as Don and son were able to hang a rather large picture over the living room stairway so it looks so nice with the colors in the area.  Also, a biggie for me is the fact that I "found" the sewing machine extension table which is quite expensive and it was hiding behind storage clothes in a basement closet.  Feeling so good that I look forward to going to church tomorrow and hopeful that can be done.  Weather temps are dropping and there are several days of moisture including snow coming - not at all unusual.

We are trying to live with an antenna on the television and there are cutting in and out problems.  We like to hear both sides of the stories and now have to resort to searching through the internet.

I do believe my cold or whatever it is is worse today than ever!!  I should have called the doctor's office yesterday and either saw the nurse or got a prescription called into the drug store.  Too late now!!

Now I have told Kitty that I will take her to her sister's on Monday and Ivalou's class lunch is Tuesday.  We both go to the doctor's office Wednesday...mine for a BP check.  Hope I see the nurse!!  I need relief.  I want to be outside in this nice weather but I am afraid of the temperature change.

Our furry kids are aging.  I think Ali Cat was born in April 2001.  She came to my house near Memorial Day and was eating dry cat food and knew what kitty litter was.  So she will be 12 this year.  And Inky was born in November of 2003.  She came to this house on the coldest day of the year...December 30th, 2003 so she will be 10 years old!  She also knew what dry cat food was and kitty litter.  They both act like kittens with lots of sleeping in between the running around!

It is overcast today but nice out!  63°!  That's the warmest this year!!

Etta Sue out fur babies age too, and show their age.  Cimi will be 13 this year.  She sleeps most of the day, lifespan is about 15 years.  Rambo has been kenneled most of his life now that Stiches is gone to her new home I am working with Rambo.  Not much work to be done.  When Stiches was here it wasn't uncommon for him to mess in the house.  He has been with me constantly and there have been no messes day or night....This is such good news.

John has a young lad with him for a few weeks.  This guy actually knows how to drive! It is a pleasure for John to be in the truck with him.  He has initiative, found where Solway MN was without John telling him to....Most others require a "See Dick run." type of training.  Etta Sue How far is Solway from you?

Now that I have finished and balanced my accounting lesson..I am heading out to take some pictures.  There were some ice formations I'd like to photo!  I hope that they are still there!  Bye for now!

Ruth

I am feeling lazy today.  I have been watching the curling and along with that working on a knitting project and also a paper tole this hobby is extent as no more paper pictures are available so sad but people also have picture overload. I also fit into that picture. I do have enough pictures for I think 3 or 4 projects and then that is it done.

Judy how are you feeling.

:)  Good afternoon I am just sitting around and being very lazy as I feel that I am getting better and then I start coughing again.  I do have some cough syrup that I got from the drug store and I think that it is working but slowly :coffee:

Judy B.  Are you in Guelph or are you back home? I do hope that you are feeling better. ;D

I will look in later and see if there are any other posts.  God bless.  Gordon. :cp: :rocker:

When we go to Guelph we do a turn and burn.  Round trip in one day, as a driver John doesn't find it hard. I have done it often enough that It is quite easy.  Unfortunately we don't have time to visit.  We stopped in Orangeville for supper and met up with Ian, then home.

I was out today for a while taking some pictures of ice formations.  It was fun however the one I was looking for has melted!

I Have a test to write, so I am off for today.

Marilyn

Good evening  CP sisters and brothers. Rain here today. I managed to get in a few minutes walk with Happy, Bebe wanted so bad to go when we got back but it was raining too much to take her out for a short one. I work tomorrow it is feral Cat Day but I was told that we only have about 30 cats, geez that's plenty once you add a few dog in the mix.

Gilbert is doing well, he called today to let me know how he is doing.

Hi Folks Just thought I would put a few words down here. Sitting in a small truck stop in Marshall Michigan for the night and I have a trainee with me this week. We are on our way to Cedar Rapids Iowa. Weather is quite pleasant here at the moment and hope it remains that way. As I go through all the posts and read of the some off the problems folks are having I sense a real need for blessings from our Great Physician. We need to stand fast together in prayer and ask that Gods will be done. He knows what is best in all situations and we can have comfort in knowing that He is in control. I will go for now. Time to rest up for tomorrows run. Will try and see if I can pick up a signal tomorrow night. Blessings to all. John

Hi everyone.  It is to be another beauftiful sunny day here in Georgia, as was yesterday.  Pat and I both had a very good nights sleep.  Of course, I was worn out from watching all that basketball last evening but both games were competitive, as it should be at this stage of the tourny.  I will not attend church this morning but rather will go down and visit with Stacey for a couple of hours.  She was thrilled again yesterday when my sister and BIL sent her a new bouquet of flowers and she sent both Pat and I a photo of them she had taken with her phone camera.  She seems to be in good spirits and the temp she had yesterday morning was gone yesterday afternoon.  She is ready to proceed with the amputation if the bone marrow tests come back OK as the test took three days for results.  She told the sugeon she doesn't want to wait until Thursday for the surgery if it can be done sooner.

Carol, glad you found your sewing table extension and think I know what you are talking about as Pat has one of those sewing tables.  Her sewing table also has a large fold down piece on the back and she has kept that available for use for a long time.  It takes up a bit of room but makes a wonderful surface.  Glad you are feeling better and hope you were able to get to church this morning.

Etta Sue, sorry to hear your cold wasn't on the way out yesterday as you had earlier thought.  Hope it is better today as sounds like you have early week plans and need to be feeling up to them.

Judy, it sounds like your accounting course is going well.  It is always a great feeling when that balance sheet balances and the other reports as well.  Nice John has someone with him he enjoys being with.

Marilyn, I hope the cats and dogs are nice to you today.  Glad Gilbert is doing well.

John, hope your run today with your trainee is very enjoyable and you find nice weather this week.

Etta Sue

Watch that glob....it will change!!

I didn't go to the church today...first Sunday of missing church in over 5 years!  I just didn't feel like taking a shower so I stayed home.  After 12 hours of cold meds I do feel much better.

After while I want to go fill the gas tank in the car so that when we get back from taking Kitty to see her sister tomorrow, she can pay to fill it again.  And I need more meds from the store!

It is nice and sunny today.  67° already!  I wish I could sit in the sunshine outside but I don't want to push it!

I called the minister's wife to let her know that I would be at Small Groups tonight and bringing potato salad to go with Rhonda's Sloppy Joe's and Evelyn's dessert and buns.  I will probably take some chips, too.

I lost one post so I hope to post this one before I lose it!

This may be TMI but my grandfather was born April 7th, 1870!  Happy birthday, Granddad!
