JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Hi, friends,

What a wonderful day yesterday! My daughter in law brought the youngest granddaughter and her best friend to visit for the day. We went to the Y and sat out by the pool while the girls had a good time swimming. Then we ended the day by going to the Outback Steak House to have dinner. Yummy.

Being with loved ones is so great.

I hope to have a meal with friends this afternoon, then exercise at the Y.

Y'all have a good day.

Love to all,
Ruth Ann

Ruth

hi Y'all

John: the honey do list never ends but the jobs do get smaller, and take less time to do, although when I came home from the hospital poor Mel sure did his wondering as he not only needed to help me in many ways but I also had a flare up of the flu not nice for sure.

Larry: I find it easier to not exercise but feel much better when I do.

Judy: We still refer to Pine Grove at just that but the you folk in the area call it Woodbridge.

Janet: The recovery is going well except for the cellulitis, it is improved but still loves to hang in there instead of going away.

Today Mel & I went to a grill down in Woodbridge to have lunch with friends that gather every Friday.  I even left my cane at home and for the first time my lower back felt strong I even went to the grocery store and not even that was tiring.

We have had a day that is sunny with a little breeze.

Well, I got my painting paraphernalia all together, but I still have no idea what I am going to paint!  Crazy!

Good to read all the posts today, and wish you all the best.  I'm falling asleep here, so I'm taking this tired body to bed!

Good day from Tucson.  It is so nice to catch up on all the posts.  Congrats to retirement, John B!

It has be super hot here and we have been taking it slow in working on the house.  Painting inside will have to wait until this fall but we did get everything clean and most of our time is spent hanging around thrift shops.  At night, we sit outside and look at the sky.  AZ has strict laws on lighting and it is wonderful to actually see the stars in all their glory.  Larry, we need to paint and Don finally decided that he had better not get up on a ladder. It sure hurts to pay for something we have done all our lives and actually enjoyed at times - not the really high areas though.

Ruth:  It is nice to read that you are recovering although it does sound like a slow recovery.

Hi everyone.  It is a lovely morning but rain is predicted for later today.  Yesterday, we had a lot of thunder but it never did rain.  I went to coffee at McDonald's this morning but plan on staying home the rest of the day as not feeling at all peppy so will spend the day quietly and resting.

Ruth Ann, the joy of your day with your DIL and granddaughter radiated in your posting.  It has been a long time since we have gone to Outback Steak House but always enjoyed it.

Ruth, I was fortunate in that with both the knee replacement and hip replacement surgeries Pat had our DIL and then Pat's sister came and helped out for two or three weeks.  Unfortunately our DIL does not cook so that was a bit of a challenge hut my SIL is a great cook.  I expect most of us share  your not finding doing the exercises something we really like doing but as you so it does make us feel better.  It sounds like you are doing great in your recovery and giving up the cane is a big step.

Janet, is this the painting class that lasts several days where you go away from home?

Carol, did you get your own house this time rather than a condo unit.  Are you looking for furnishing for your new place at the thrift shops?  I remember my folks doing this when they wintered in Apache Junction.

Janet

Hello, Carol, good to 'see' you today.  I am also interested in the answers to the questions Larry asked.  I am finding that painting ceilings is really hard on my neck any more.

Larry, hope your pep returns soon!  I have always wondered how any woman makes it without cooking!?!

Yes, this is the only class I get to take any more, as the portrait teacher stopped coming here.  This class is in Fowler, about 70 or so miles away.  I will come home on Thurs. evening so I can get my clothes--and my husband--and we can go to Pratt for the Miss Kansas Pageant in which our Abby is competing.  Well, she isn't quite old enough for Miss Kansas, so will be in the Miss TEEN Kansas division.

See you lovely folks later!

Hi everyone on a cloudy but otherwise nice day here in Georgia.  I did feel much better yesterday but didn't leave the house except to get the mail.  Today is church after which there is a going away reception for our Associate Pastor, who voluntarily is leaving to help our church head in a different direction.  There was no dissatisfaction with her in our church but we want to change the emphasis of her position towards our young families and youth and she feels that is not where God wants her to serve.  That will be it for today.

Janet, our son is a good cook and the duty falls on him along with everything else in running the household.  It has been that way for some time as she has been disabled for a number of years.  Thanks for the information on your painting class and your busy week.
