Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Carol, I pray Don will recover quickly and you can continue without further problems.

I laugh sometimes at the translations in closed captioning.  The weather reports are always spoken very rapidly and it must be terribly hard to keep up.  We've had the one slip-up for a couple of years  - "It will be very human today" meaning, of course humid.  Now yesterday evening a new one - "It will be a Monday start for Saturday" - the sentence was "... a muggy start..."

Hi everyone.  It is a warm but overcast day here in Georgia.  After coffee I stopped by Kroger to see if I could find a kitchen spray for ants as we are having a problem with the tiny sugar ants.  However the only thing they had was Raid, which didn't sound much different than the WD-40 we have been using so didn't buy it.  A friend at Coffee told me about a kitchen spray at Walmart that really worked for him so will have to check that out.  I don't have anything special planned for today.  I sure feel for our friends in Oklahoma and wherever the tornado's have been so active. I don't remember where such storms had stayed in a given area so long.

Janet, I am looking forward to reading your new story when I have the time.  I have made a note of the message number so I can quickly find it again.  I am sure you will be ready for your class on Monday.

Carol, so sorry to hear that Don didn't feel well for the graduation.  I have only attended two graduations in the last few years and and both were too long. However, each student has worked for their moment of recognition.  Glad to see he was feeling better today.

Jeanne, it must be difficult to have to constantly be talking on the TV where things cannot be scripted and you just read or the tongue gets in front of your "eye" tooth.  :)

Janet

Carol, I am praying for both you and Don, that you will both feel restored and able to enjoy your time there.  It's good to be among loving family and friends and know that should you need help, it will be freely given.  God bless you as you continue your time there.  And I don't know if the town of Luther was named for Martin Luther.  I will ask Mr. Bogue when I see him again.

Larry, you weren't using WD-40 for bugs, were you?  I thought that was a lubricant--but I could be wrong, as I have been once or twice in the past.  ;)   (Probably per hour!)  We bought some bug spray for spiders and ants at the brand new Menards store in Garden City the other day, sure hope it works!  We have been seeing a lot of the sneaky little pests since we got home.

It is windy again today.  :(  Have I mentioned that I do not like the wind?  ;)

I have been deleting emails for about two hours, now I MUST get started preparing for my class!  I did print out some of my trip photos--mostly from Ephasus--as paining ideas.  My friend and I are renting a small house from a church, and need to know if there are any dishes, pots and pans, as there is nowhere to eat breakfast in that tiny town, nor even a grocery store.  So we want to go prepared.

Jeanne, I notice all those wrong or misspelled words on the closed captioning, too.  When we are at the gym the sound has to be turned off, so that's when I see them--some are hilarious!  :)

I know I wrote a post telling ya'll that I was home but I can't find that post.  I probably 'previewed' it and didn't hit 'post'!

Laundry is all done and folded and hung and put away.  The suitcase is empty.  The annuals are put away.  Last evening was sitting with my feet up and watching TV with a big bowl of popcorn.  I nodded off a few times so went to bed....early!

And up late today.  I really need to mow the grass today since I am having 2 of Bud's daughters for company in the afternoon tomorrow.  It looks like rain today.  I guess when I decide to go out and it isn't raining, I will mow.  If it is raining, I won't!! :-\

Tony called me yesterday and talked over an hour.  Oh, how I love talking to him.

Have been praying for people as I've been catching up on the news.

I've had a busy week. My friend is out of the hospital and is still dealing with the vertigo. I'm surprised the doctor let her out when she was having so much trouble, and she wasn't restricted in her driving either. Her family doctor is back on Monday, so hopefully he will see what can be done to help her as she is still having trouble.
I drove my other friend to Lindsay to have a cataract removed. It went well.

Our grandchild may be coming earlier than his due date. His mother has had some contractions. His due date is July 3rd, but she was 5 weeks early with her second child, so we'll see. I'm glad God knows.

My sister was able to have her chemo this week. She is tired and is in pain, and her kidneys aren't working as well as they should, but she's rejoicing in the Lord.

Have a good week.
Betty

Enjoying God's handiwork!

Carol

Thanks all for your prayers.   Don is sure weary and resting between visiting.  I will feel better when we are on our way home but that won't be for another week.  If needed, I can cancel our plans to go up to Don's home town of Duluth - he does want to see his old friends in that area and visit with everyone.

Betty:  Special prayers for your newest grandchild/

I use WD-40 for frozen locks on the car when they are parked outdoors and it is snowing or frigid.  I even had to unlock our DIl's car door when she first arrived from Texas - one thing I could teach her about living in a winter place.  She remembers.

Greetings:   We have had a week of crazy weather

Yesterday a friend and I went out for a little afternoon visit in a cafe a new one to me. It was a very needed time away for me since the day before was one that I do not want to remember, you do kindness to and for an individual to only have it thrown in your face, yes I will recover and do it again as it is something that must be done you cannot always walk away forever.

To day my daughter called and she picked me up and I went to Orilla with her took care of business had lunch then headed home. Even my cell phone acted up this morning I took the battery out then put it back in all is fine now go figure.

I really enjoyed reading all the posts. These days it seems I don't have much to comment on.

Anyway, it is so good to be able to check in here.

Y'all have a wonderful day.

Happy Sunday to you all!  I worked hard yesterday and now have the car packed except for the last few items, ready to go to Fowler until Friday afternoon.  I will pick up Dee and her stuff about four this afternoon and head out.  We attended the Saturday night service, taking Beth, so this morning we can go to Hugoton and attend My Father's House with Diane's family; then she has invited us for lunch.  I am really missing her, as haven't seen her since before we left for Turkey.  We have some catching up to do!

Curtis and family were still at Diane's last night because of the smoke in Hugoton.  He said their house is really full of smoke.  They estimate that fire will burn for at least a week, and they can't put it out.  :-\

Carol, I pray Don gets to feeling a lot better, so he can enjoy visiting with his friends.  You have to be such a nice couple, as you seem to stay in touch with family and friends in far-flung places over many years.  Hugs to you.

Marilyn, where are you headed?

See you later!
