JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Hi everyone. Our Friday Senior Center men's coffee group met for the first time at McDonald's this morning and will do so until the remodeling of the Senior Center is completed.  I remember when it opened over 18 years ago and I started going there in its second week of operation.

I have a ROMEO's lunch at noon and we are meeting at Outback Steakhouse (tough duty today).  :)  Later this afternoon I will pick up two of my friends to go to the visitation for the friend from our coffee group who passed away a few days ago.  None of us know any of the family but want to show our respect for John.

Jeanne, It is a cool morning here at 45 degrees but tomorrow morning is to be even colder, down to 34 degrees.

Ruth, they are predicting a freeze and possibly some snow in the North Georgia mountains tomorrow morning.  Thanks for your comment.  Sometimes I feel my postings have gotten too long and try to cut back.

Gord,  I have never heard of this infection.  It sounds like just getting around is very difficult for Noreen.  I will keep you both in my prayers.

Larry, we were down in the 20's last night and maybe we'll get up to near 45 this afternoon.   :D  But the threat of possible snow showers for tomorrow has been changed to only cold rain.

Gord, I am praying for Noreen and for strength for you as well.

:)  Hi to all.  I want to thank you all for continuing to lift us up in prayer as it  is very hard trying to get Noreen around in the house as she cannot put any weight on her leg.

Danny went to the other surgeon and he now has a completely different idea about his problem with his eye's he told Dan that he feels he should stop the laser and that he has seen diabetics have the same problem and live for many years and not loose his sight.   So now he is very confused to no what to do.   So please continue to pray for his Salvation and also his healing.  Noreen and I do thank you all for praying for us and our family.   God's richest blessing's to you all.  :coffee: :cp: :pine: :bananadance:

Ruth Ann:  Congratulations to the new master's degree for your grandson.  Best wishes for his future.

Larry:  I am with others in trying to control myself from another fall - not fun for anyone.

Gord:  If your son feels conflicted with the medical advice - take even more suggestions from more experts  - there are always different opinions.

I am waiting for a friend to walk over here; she is at least a half hour late and I sure would like to have her visit and also I would like to go to the genealogy room for some instruction.  Every time, something gets in the way and it is a bit irritating that in six weeks time only one hour for my learning how to use the facility.  OK, thanks for letting me make my case.  Over it!

We have a little leak in the bathroom sink so Don has headed to ACE to buy two new parts.

Carol it is difficult to get second opinions here in Ontario.  The referring Dr. is offended that you don't trust his "expert" and many refuse to refer you to another Dr.  It is impossible to get a different family doctor unless you give up your doctor, and then the person may have to wait 1-2 years before getting another doctor.  It can be really messy.  However I do agree Danny should try to get a second opinion.

Hi, friends,

I'm here in chilly Nashville, with our little tricksters having to brave cold winds, rain, and temps going down to freezing tonight. Brrrrr. I'm so thankful I can stay here in my apartment.

Thank you, Carol, for mentioning postings as well as Larry and others.

I've rested all day today.  I think I'll feel much better tomorrow.

Y'all have a good rest of the day with our Lord who loves us so much.

Hi everyone.  We woke up this morning to a very cold 35 degrees and a brutal wind with some gusts predicted to be up to 40 miles an hour.  They have had some snow in the N. Georgia mountains. I have a quiet day planned today.  Later this morning I will go and pick up your Nigerian grandson, who will spend part of the day with us.

Gord, it sounds like Danny has a difficult decision to make.

Carol, it sounds like you all have been too busy but hopefully all the work will pay off when you return to Tuscon later.

Ruth Ann, we didn't turn on our outside light and only had one trick or treater knock on the door and we did not respond.  Several of my friends also passed on doing the trick and treat thing.

I forgot to share this link with you that I really enjoyed this morning and expect we can all relate to:

It is Nov. 1st and we have lots of wind and snow winter is coming. Mel is out having the snow tires installed on both of our vehicles.

I guess we are one of the lucky family's in that there is no problem going to a different family doctor and  now that we have made a change we welcome to return to the one we left. As for second openions with the specialists no problem we have done that as well and with the blessings of the family doctor.

Now I must get some laundry done.

Thanks for that link, Larry.  I enjoyed it!  I had seen it before but was glad to watch it again.

It is cold and very windy here in "The Land of Oz" too!  ;)  I went out at 9:00 for a hair appointment and don't plan on going out again unless I have to!  Sounds as if we had a November first change in the weather over a HUGE area!

I am going to start checking over my clothes and deciding what to pack, as we leave two weeks from tomorrow!

Hi everyone.  I did remember about the change from daylight savings time but still have a couple of clocks to change.  Today is our pledge day at church and following our combined service we have celebration luncheon, which we plan on attending.  We did enjoy having Christian here yesterday afternoon for a few hours.  He helped Pat cut up apples for more homemade apple sauce, which she has been cooking all afternoon and night.  He also swept out the storage building.  He then called a man from our church who has been a great friend of his family as Christian had been scheduled to do yard work for him yesterday morning but it was postponed due to the cold and wind.  They decided to go ahead and do the work so I took him there rather than back to his home.  It was about half the distance.

Ruth, doesn't seem possible that it is time for snow tires already.  That is one thing we don't need down here.  I see the Old Farmer's Almanac predicts a cold and hard winter.  One advantage of our Kaiser HMO plan is that they have multiply doctors and as far as I know they consult with each other or, while in the hospital, you are seen by multiple doctors.

Janet,  as I watched that link I felt it was familiar but still enjoyed the trip back down memory lane.  Your trip is coming up fast.

Hope all have a good Sunday.
