Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Went to Derwent hall again today, had a cup of tea, came out, thought, "Which way now?" "Have another look along, Shorey bank." Ok Judy this is what is at the other side of that bridge, end of park, the leaves were nice. "Should I include the guy crossing the bridge, yes gives some human interest?"

Then went down into Blackburn, for some fish and chips, and as I sat in the fish and chip shop finishing my meal I noticed through the window some workmen on a platform working on the side of the new shopping mall, I liked the light that was falling on the side of the building. Got out my Leica M6 attached the APO Telyt 135mm lens and began shooting at close quarters with just the workmen on the platform, then I switched to digital and started shooting at a wider angle trying to include more of the structure of the mall hence the title.

When I finished there, I noticed there was some nice lighting looking back up Penny street in Blackburn, this view includes a part of the market, Larkhill flats, and on the right is Thwaites brewery where the local beer is made, it gives the previous picture a sense of location, as that scene was just over my shoulder.

Decided to catch the C25 bus to Clitheroe, but first I needed to do some shopping whilst in town, but before that however I had a look into the Blackburn cathedral's grounds, and there was a patch of sunlight just beconing me to have a much closer look, the light was falling on a patch of fallen leaves, I decided on a tantalising view of the buildings beyond the precinct grounds, the building beyond is Radio Lancashire's studio, if your interested in having a listen, we're on the internet, at least you'll get a bit of Lanky twang.

Looking down at the path through the cathedral grounds, I thought, "Some lovely light skimming along the pavement, and just a few leaves for a point of interest."

And Lastly, having been shopping, and with ten minutes to spare before the bus came in, I had a look at the rather spectacular rowan (mountain ash) trees that are on the boulevard, I set them against the walls of the Boulevard pub, where they sell Thwaites beers.

The last five shots were all taken within a space of a hundred yards from one point so it was more of an amble than a walk, but its surprising the things that you can happen on even within the space of a few yards.

Janet

Very nice!  Thanks for sharing.
