This is one of a pair of Blue Heron that reside down by the Boise River.

Was this bird above the rock in the other picture? 

He is beautiful.

He was about 100 or so yards downstream from the rock picture, so not too far.

Thanks so much, Pat!  I'm glad other can enjoy it because I sure am enjoying doing it.  Just got three new feeders for my backyard, too.

I have more of this bird that I haven't had time to process yet, but I hope to post them.  At first he was backlit and then I had to sneak around to the other side to get this better lighting on him. 

I have one shot of him from below with him looking down at me and he it looks like he has a face.  It's a little disturbing and I've not seen a picture of a heron looking like this so I'd like to post it for you all to see.  I'm assuming God created it to look that way to frighten off would-be predators, but that's just my thought.

Can't wait to see it!!!
