JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Sure hope you do not get bored of my "bird" photos  :)

July 14th 2007

When i came downstairs this morning and opened up the kitchen blinds, i couldn't believe what i saw. There was a Bird of Prey on my lawn eating his kill. This is something I've never seen before and you don't see many birds like this in the south of England. Unfortunately, i didn't have my Olympus camera set up, so i grabbed my Kodak Z740 and crept outside and took some shots of this amazing bird. I then got my book on birds out and i am pretty sure that it is a Peregrine Falcon. But if anyone knows different, then please do let me know. Here are a few photos from this morning.

These are really great, Neil.  Thanks for puting them in here so we could be introduced to Mr. Falcon.  He looks pretty serious about it being HIS kill!

Marilyn

Definitely a Peregrine Falcon. They are such awesome birsd. Thank you so much for sharing  this shots with us.  maybe you could crop some of the grass out  to bring him nto a closer view. It looks like a young male.

These are beautiful brds.  You have captured the personality of this one really well.

Good work!

Heather

I've done a little research, my husband being my primary source of information.  Jon's favorite bird is the Peregrine Falcon and he has said that this is a female.  There isn't enough blue on her to be a male.  It's difficult for me to see the size for sure as there is really nothing to compare her size to but when I went looking at other pictures of Peregrines I discovered that she certainly does look like one.  I think I am going to believe Jon on this one.  It would be like me being asked about owls (which is my favorite group of birds).

Beautiful pictures for sure.  I think they are among the best I've seen.  I think your camera did a lovely job.

Hugs
Heather

Thanks for the comments everyone and glad you enjoyed the pictures  :)

Heather, you mentioned Owls are your favourite birds. Not sure if you saw my thread on Owls. If not, and you are interested, just click the link below.
