Shot these through the dirty window, so they're not the greatest shots, but I thought they were pretty funny so I'm posting them anyway.

They really do go at it, don't they?  They get pretty savage, too.  For a few weeks this Spring, I began noticing one-eyed finches and thought it might have been some sort of disease until I saw them fighting over food.  First target is the eyes.

   That's so sad!  I haven't seen any one-eyed birds.  Maybe Idaho birds are a little more layed back.

I know Iowa and Oahu birds are.... 

 

Kathleen, those are excellent!  1st one: "Gimmee, gimmee, gimmee!"  2nd one: "Yes, you have to eat it ALL!"  3rd one: "Ok, ok, I'll just guzzle it all straight down."  Reminds me of my kids.

   Thanks, Al.  They are so much fun to watch.  My daughter just keeps saying, "I don't get the bird thing."   Her loss, I guess.

Yes it is her loss.  Those are excellent pictures.  Way to go girl!
