Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

This is an image I captured while in Rocky Mountain National Park a couple of years ago.  I really love this place, and am blessed to live only a couple hours away from it.  At first, I didn't think this was such a great image.  I thought, "It's just a picture of a couple of elk."  But after I got home and loaded the images onto my computer to see a larger view of them, this one was my favorite, so I decided to have it printed.  At the print lab, I received back my printed images, and was examining them to be sure they came out the way I wanted.  When I was looking at them, this lady standing next to me commented on them.  She asked me if I took those pictures and I told her yes.  She told me that her husband would really love to have an image like the ones I took of the elk, and asked me how much would I charge.  I was like, "Uhhhhh...."  LOL.  This is the first time I had ever sold any of my images.  I had no idea what to charge.  This lady was here from California visiting and was on her way back home.  This was such a random occurrence, but I considered it a blessing from God.  I took up photography with the intention of showing off God's beauty and bringing Glory to God, so I knew that it was a divine crossing.  Anyway, she gave me her name, phone # and e-mail and told me to get in touch with her in a few days, after she had gotten back home.  I called her, and she told me she wanted this image of the elk, along with a couple of others I had taken from the trip to RMNP and had printed that day (a waterfall and a mountain scene).  She ordered an 11x14 print of the elk!  God is so Good!  I have had people tell me that this looks like a painting when they see it.  They say they can see my passion for God and His creations in my images.  I really didn't have much confidence in myself and my photograhy then....still, now, I have to tell myself that I'm not terrible lol.  The more I look at it, the more I feel blessed to live in an area with such beautiful animals and scenery.  Elk may be a common thing seen here, but I still think they are beautiful creatures of God.  Just thought I would share this image and hope that it blessed others the way it has blessed me.

(The actual image is actually clearer than the way it's shown here.  The file size limit doesn't do much justice to the viewing quality of images.  If anyone has any insight as to how to upload images so that they appear better, please let me know.  Is there a certain file type I should be using?)

I'm not surprised she wanted a print. It's a great photo! Love how they are framed with the rock and tree branches.

This is a great picture.
I have a question for you, how do you get the copywright on your pictures?

Thanks so much, guys!
Christa, I have a program (Paint Shop Pro Photo X2) that I use to put the copyright print on my images.  I also use it to add text when I want to put scriptures on my images.

Christa you can use Picasa to put a copyright on your photos. Use the export feature and look at the bottom of the window, there is a checkbox to tick for a watermark, tick the box and put the info you want on the photo in the slot provided. To make the © symbol hold the Alt key down and hit 0169. You can also put text on the photo, that option is on the Basic Fixes Tab.
